Second Annual Teacher Career Panel

Now is a great time for high school students to consider a career in education, as the State of California is expected to have teaching and classified staff vacancies in almost every area for many years to come.  On Monday evening October 16, NHUHSD will offer a Career Frontiers panel from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Arcata High School library to hear career stories and insight from local educators.  Panelists include Arcata High School science teacher Cindy Condit,  McKinleyville High School English teacher Taylor LeBlanc, Chris Hartley, Humboldt County Superintendent of Schools, Claire Knox, Professor and Department Chair from the HSU Childhood Development department, and Katie Pagel, elementary teacher from Alice Birney Elementary.  All students (and parents) are welcome to attend this panel.  We encourage you to come get real world, hands on insight about potential careers in education.
