Drivers Training

Drivers Training, Documents and Information

Information

The Northern Humboldt Union High School District offers a Driver Training course for $300.  We accept cash, check or you can now pay online (see link below).  NHUHSD likes to have two students drive together.  Each student will receive 6-hours behind-the-wheel training and 6-hours of observation training. In order to participate in the program students must have completed a driver education course and have their  permit.

Student scheduling options are: after school or weekends.

To register, please complete enrollment forms below or pick up an enrollment form at the District Office or Arcata High School in the attendance office.  Please be sure to have your enrollment forms signed by the parent, student, and counselor and/or administrator prior to registering at the District Office.

Once student has registered, a Driver Training Instructor will call to schedule your drive time.  Generally students who sign up first will be scheduled first.

Students are eligible to take the written test through DMV to get their permit at any time after completing the driver education class.  Just a reminder that the permit does not become valid until a student completes one hour of Driver Training.

Call Tammy Pires at 839-6481 with any questions.
